Especially developed for short-haired dogs and those with no undercoat, the coat is suitable for other dogs too as temperatures really dip, protecting the chest and major muscle groups. It is a particularly good option following agility sessions, for senior dogs, or for those with health issues.
Made from a breathable, but durable, water-resistant material, the parka is really easy to put on and take off, and will stand up well to all kinds of adventures. Specially designed soft elastic sections on the front of the parka will move with your dog allowing him to run and play without restricting his movement.
Other features include 3M reflectors for greater visibility and a convenient opening for a harness on the back of the larger sizes. An integrated harness is a feature of the smaller size coats.
In order to secure the best possible fit, the back length of the coat, neckline and collar circumference are all fully adjustable. In addition to basic sizes which range from 8-32", Hurtta offers sizes 16XS and 18XS, especially designed for Dachshunds and sizes 12XL and 14XL for small bulldog breeds.

The Back Length:
Measure your dog from his withers (not his collar) to the base of his tail, while he is standing in normal position. The withers is the ridge between your dog's shoulder blades, or rather the tallest point of the body. It is the standard place to measure his height.
The Neckline Measurement:
Measure from the base of your dog's neck, that is the widest point of his neck. Please note that the neckline of an overall can be larger than the circumference of his neck, as it can be adjusted to fit a smaller neck.
The Chest Measurement:
The chest measurement should be taken at the widest point of your dog's chest, from behind his front legs. To allow for freedom of movement, the chest of an overall must be wider than the dog's chest.
