Wherever your adventures take you this winter, a Hurtta's Expedition Parkas are an excellent choice when it comes to keeping your dog protected from the elements.
Suitable for all dog breeds, regardless of size, the coat is especially good for short-haired dogs and those with no undercoat. Perfect for protecting the chest and major muscle groups, it is a particularly good option following agility sessions, for senior dogs, and for those with health issues.
Made from a breathable, durable, water-resistant material, the parka will stand up well to the most rugged of terrain and all kinds of inclement weather. Super easy to put on and take off, soft elastic sections on the front are designed for an extended range of motion.
Other useful features include 3M reflectors for greater visibility and an opening for a harness on the back of the larger sizes. The smaller size coats feature an integrated harness.
To achieve a perfect fit, the back length of the coat, neckline and collar circumference are all fully adjustable. Please refer to the Size Chart below to figure out the best size for your dog. In addition to basic sizes which range from 8-32", Hurtta offers sizes 16XS and 18XS, especially designed for Dachshunds, while sizes 12XL and 14XL work well for small bulldog breeds.

Hurtta offers dog owners the following guidelines on how best to measure their dog in order to achieve a perfect fit:
The Back Length:
Measure your dog from his withers (not his collar) to the base of his tail, while he is standing in normal position. The withers is the ridge between your dog's shoulder blades, or rather the tallest point of the body.
The Neckline Measurement:
Measure from the base of your dog's neck, that is the widest point of his neck.
The Chest Measurement:
Take the chest measurement at the widest point of your dog's chest, from behind his front legs.
